Porsche x Nina Métayer
a chocolate box with two signatures
For the collaboration between Porsche and pastry chef Nina Métayer, Esprit du Luxe designed a chocolate box that brings two worlds together: the precision of the automobile and the indulgence of haute pâtisserie.
A lilac sleeve marked with both names, a black tray, five chocolates lined up in a bespoke insert.

The brief
To create a gift object carrying two signatures on equal terms. The box had to stay compact, fit in one hand and reveal the chocolates in a single gesture.
The constraint
Fragile chocolates of different shapes, to be presented perfectly aligned after transport. Materials suitable for food contact, with no odour. A lilac shade that stays consistent from one box to the next.

The process
A sliding sleeve in dyed paper, marked with the names Porsche and Nina Métayer. A matt black tray whose insert is cut to the shape of each chocolate. Prototypes validated the slide of the sleeve, then the hold of the chocolates.
The result
An understated box where colour links the two houses. On opening, the black of the tray sets off the five chocolates, including the one marked Porsche.
